A Neurosurgeon performs surgery, therefore is responsible for the surgical management of pain and conditions related to the brain such as headaches related to trauma and post-concussion syndrome. A Neurosurgeon will diagnose the severity of head injuries and spinal injuries. Skull fractures and any organic injury to the brain itself is investigated by the Neurosurgeon.
